With the onslaught of new technologies some folks have concerns that the PC is dying or dead; a no longer necessary piece of technology. Well, consider what PC means: Personal Computer…if the PC is dead then none of the technology we currently have; smart phones, internet tablets, and MP4 players would even be in existence because they all have components that actually make them very personalized and they are all in fact computers. So the reality is that PC isn’t dead, it has simply transformed and morphed into something different and even more personalized based on the owner of the specific product. Never has technology been able to be as personalized as it is today, everyone can have a product that is just as unique as themselves and nothing, other than the encasement of the technology, will be identical to anyone else’s personal computing device. In fact there are even different variations of encasements for the same products now to include different covers that can be personalized to the owner’s desire. So, just as a caterpillar morphs into a butterfly, the PC has morphed into an awe inspiring piece of technology. These changes mostly occurred during the last 20 years of the 20th century and the first 10 of this century and have yet to show signs of finishing this morphing process for anytime to come.
